Perfect Fit Gear FAQ's

How long does it take to receive my custom suit after I place my order? . . .

We recommend ordering at 10-12 weeks out.
You will receive your suit within 8 weeks from your purchase date. US shipping will take 2-4 days. If you need your suit sooner, you can place a rush order, available in the extras section. Your suit will ship 2 weeks from your purchase date, as long as we have all of the materials in stock for the suit you've ordered. If not, we will get in touch immediately to form another plan. If you have any other suit emergencies, email us directly at perfectfitmn@gmail.com.

How do I add a back connector? . . .

For bikini suits, please email the PFG team at perfectfitmn@gmail.com. They'd be happy to show you options with pricing! We prefer not to add back connectors in our 2 piece suits.

Does padding come with the suit? . . .

We feel it’s easier for each client to choose to add padding or not. We sell a lightweight padding that comes in two sizes: Single or Double. It can be found on the "HERE" page for an additional cost of $10 or $20 respectively. We suggest ordering the larger size, and then we will trim the pad down to fit your suit cups. We have many clients that prefer to wear 2 sets of pads on stage. If you think you may want some extra padding, we recommend ordering two pairs - one A/B set and one B/C set. These pads are also nice for regular swimwear enhancements. You can pull them out of your competition suit and insert them into any swimsuit top. Hand wash only.

Which bottoms are acceptable at my show? . . .

Each federation has its own rules and regulations for coverage. Check with them or the show promoter before placing your order. Since we are based near Minneapolis, MN, we know that our local shows do enforce a stricter coverage rule. The brazilian for bikini should work to meet coverage requirements. However, if you are on a weight loss journey to prepare for your show, you should consider the moderate cut for your suit. If you are ordering a 2 piece suit, keep your show’s glute coverage regulations in mind when deciding what measurements you order for the butt of your suit bottoms. PERFECT FIT GEAR cannot be held responsible for your suit not passing glute coverage requirements for your show. The competitor is responsible for understanding those regulations as well as attaining a stage ready physique so that the suit can appropriately enhance that physique.

I know my stage measurements. Can I use those when ordering? . . .

Yes. If you know your measurements from the last time you stepped on stage, use those for sizing when ordering your suit. Also make a note to let us know that you've provided those stage measurements.

Can I customize the bottom front of my bikini?. . .

Yes. Our suits are custom made for each order. Our typical front rise is 6.75 inches from the crotch on average. If you would like a higher, more conservative cut for c-section scars or stretch marks, we recommend a front rise of 7.5 inches. Adding that 3/4" to the front crotch rise will also widen the front of your bikini by an inch. Please leave a note in the comments section when you are placing your order if this is something you want.

Do you ship internationally? . . .

Yes. If you are buying from anywhere besides the US, you must order at least 14-16 weeks from when you need the suit.

I ordered my bikini and now I decided not to compete, can I cancel/modify my order? . . .

All orders are non-refundable because they are custom made for you. There are numerous outlets for you to try to sell the suit.

How do I measure myself? . . .

Click the "How to Measure" link in the footer for visual aids on how to provide measurements.

My show isn’t for a while. Is it too early to order a suit? . . .

No, it's never too early to order your suit. For all bikinis, we leave some extra fabric where the butt of the suit is sewn into the back of the hip connectors. This allows the suit to be taken in or let out by your local seamstress or anyone that can sew.
For figure suits, the crotch depth can be taken in, or else a patch of fabric can be added to the crotch seam to add length. Otherwise, contact us so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution.

I know I will lose a lot of weight before my show, how will sizing work? . . .

We use the measurements provided when you order your suit along with your anticipated weight loss until your show date to decide the fit of your suit bottoms. The anticipated weight loss does not need to be an exact number; a rough estimate will be fine. Again, there are small tricks that can be done as far as alterations that we can guide you through if necessary.

What is your return policy? . . .

We start from scratch on every suit and make your suit based on the measurements you have provided. They are very custom fit to your body measurements, therefore we have a very strict no return policy. We guarantee that every suit we sell is brand new, and we do not accept returns. However, if there is any issue with your suit, we will work together to come to a solution. Making you feel confident and amazing in our suit is our #1 priority. Please keep in mind that we make everything from scratch, and the labor of each suit requires a lot of time as well as materials that cost us money. We are always available to help guide and advise you in regards to alterations that can be done for the suit if that will help it enhance your physique. Ordering over 8 weeks before your show helps allow the ability to do these tweaks if necessary.
